Job summary

Qantas Airways is seeking a Principal Planning Analyst to lead a Senior Analysts team and oversee component campaigns, charter flights, and material logistics. You will ensure parts availability and coordinate with OEMs, repairers and airline partners to protect OTP and operational performance.

This 18‑month fixed-term role is based in the Qantas Supply Chain and blends hands-on planning with stakeholder management, requiring strong analytical and financial judgment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of supply chain experience preferably in planning.
• Degree qualified, preferably in engineering, mathematics, science, supply chain or business.
• Extensive experience in supply chain, purchasing, repair management, and inventory optimisation.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Solid understanding of planning, procurement, and inventory control principles.
• Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship-building ability with OEMs, repairers and airline partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Senior Analysts to support Component Campaigns, Charter Flights, Line Stations Planning & Logistics Management, Loans & Borrows, Fly-Away Kits, and Material Sales.
• Ensure parts availability and effective supply chain coordination with internal and external stakeholders to prevent any impact on Operational On-Time Performance (OTP) due to insufficient spare parts.
• Mix of hands-on supply chain operations and internal/external stakeholder management with strong communication and analytical skills.
