Qantas Airways is seeking a Principal Planning Analyst to lead a Senior Analysts team and oversee component campaigns, charter flights, and material logistics. You will ensure parts availability and coordinate with OEMs, repairers and airline partners to protect OTP and operational performance.
This 18‑month fixed-term role is based in the Qantas Supply Chain and blends hands-on planning with stakeholder management, requiring strong analytical and financial judgment.
Our ability to stand the test of time has been no coincidence. We've come this far because we continue to evolve. It's a challenge that never ends and drives every individual in our team to make tomorrow better than today for our customers.
Qantas Engineering keeps us at the forefront of aviation, caring and maintaining both the Qantas fleet, as well as aircraft for our customers across the Asia-Pacific region. Working with state-of-the-art equipment and resources, our shared commitment to professional excellence continues to keep our customers safe.
As a Principal Planning Analyst - Component Campaign, you will lead a team of Senior Analysts (Planning Support and Demand & Supply Planning) to support Qantas' Component Campaigns, Charter Flights, Line Stations Planning & Logistics Management, Loans & Borrows, Fly-Away Kits, and Material Sales. The role ensures parts availability and effective supply chain coordination with internal and external stakeholders to prevent any impact on Operational On-Time Performance (OTP) due to insufficient spare parts.
This role is a mix of hands-on supply chain operations and internal/external stakeholder management, requiring strong communication skills, a solid understanding of operational processes to maintain accurate material visibility and support material availability, and sound technical and financial judgement to identify and recommend optimal solutions for the business.
You’ll join a team where creativity and passion are encouraged. Our people come together to allow us to dream big and deliver successfully.
There are many different opportunities across our team, which means you'll be able to grow both personally and professionally at Qantas. Your development is a priority for us – so that you can maintain the high standards our customers have come to expect and can continue to develop over time. You'll be supported from day 1 with on‑the‑job training and coaching as well as our formal training opportunities. While you may start in this role, we've got a great track record of supporting our people to take their career in so many different directions, the destinations are endless.
Qantas are equal opportunity employers, so by coming to work for us, you'll be part of an organisation that encourages diversity, supports charities and environmental initiatives. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, and people of all backgrounds to apply.
