The Senior Compliance Investigator in Melbourne CBD and Inner Metro works within the Victorian Government to conduct complex compliance reviews and investigations into significant breaches of consumer law. The role contributes to enforcement outcomes, including court and tribunal actions, within an integrated compliance framework.

Formación

• Mandatory qualification: Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or equivalent.
• Regulatory experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-profile environment.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and conduct inquiries, investigations and compliance monitoring under the legislation administered by this office.
• Prepare reports and briefs of evidence for use in legal proceedings.
• Undertake case management including cross-agency or CAV-wide collaboration.
• Provide information to traders, consumers and internal stakeholders on rights and obligations.
• Identify emerging risks, trends and systemic issues and contribute to enforcement recommendations.
• Liaise with other branches of CAV and government departments to facilitate information exchange.
