Job summary

Bendigo Bank is seeking a seasoned Group Compliance professional to join our dedicated Compliance team in Australia. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Group Compliance, you will provide second-line oversight, interpret regulatory obligations and advise on risk controls to protect the bank and customers.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business, promote a strong risk culture, and lead improvements to governance and compliance frameworks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in legal, compliance or risk management within financial services.
• Solid understanding of regulatory risk management and current trends.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and practical advisory skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; report writing ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line oversight and challenge of first-line operations to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Support governance reporting submissions and thematic reviews across Group Compliance.
• Advise stakeholders with timely, practical guidance to meet obligations and improve controls.
