Job summary

AusNet Services is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead the management and administration of complex commercial processes on a major transmission infrastructure project. You will oversee contract claims, align stakeholders, and drive commercial protections and outcomes across the project.

You will manage a head contract and key subcontracts, lead a small team, and coordinate variations and claims across upstream and downstream teams while ensuring compliance with contracts and regulatory

Qualifications

• Degree in Law, Commerce, Engineering, Construction Management or other applicable discipline.
• 10+ years post graduate commercial and/or project management experience in large-scale infrastructure asset development and/or delivery.
• Proven track record in managing contractual processes, including contract claims, notifications and KPI tracking across cross-functional and cross-organisational teams.
• Experience in management of PPP or Incentivised Target Cost contracts, including variation or claim preparation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the head contract and key subcontract agreements, minimising risk and optimising commercial returns.
• Lead assessment and development of contractual claims with pragmatic commercial advice.
• Lead and develop a small team responsible for administration of the project head contract.
• Oversee upstream contractual obligations, tracking gaps, risk and opportunity.
• Coordinate contractual variations and claims across upstream and downstream contract teams.
• Provide commercial support across project activities including land, vegetation and stakeholder requirements.
• Share knowledge to support and educate the wider team on commercial arrangements.
