Job summary

Western Power is seeking a Commercial Manager to join the Procurement team in Perth. You will drive value across a diverse contract portfolio, lead high-value negotiations and provide strategic commercial oversight to maximise cost efficiencies and reduce risk.

You will shape procurement plans, manage supplier relationships, ensure governance and compliance, and support decarbonisation initiatives within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of contract and commercial frameworks, incl. Australian Standard contracts.
• Understanding of governance, compliance and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive value across a portfolio of contracts with improved service, quality, compliance and safety.
• Lead complex negotiations, claims and disputes protecting Western Power's interests.
• Provide expert commercial advice on high-value transactions and risk assessments.
• Partner with stakeholders from procurement planning to identify risks and opportunities.
• Influence stakeholders to improve contract performance and value from supplier engagements.
• Support contract governance, spend management and performance monitoring.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements using data-driven insights.
• Contribute to planning, forecasting and budgeting aligned to Western Power objectives.
