Job summary

Resourceful Recruitment's client, a well-established asset owner and developer, seeks a senior Commercial Manager for a major renewable project in Western Australia. You will own the commercial position across turbine supply, balance of plant and transmission, reporting to board and lenders, and lead a four-person team.

Bases in Perth with 1–2 days WFH; governance, risk management and reporting are central. Strong stakeholder engagement and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in roles that develop and enhance business & project strategy and process.
• Proven experience working in a client-side role on major projects.
• Strong project management and financial analysis skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage EOT claims, variations and disputes.
• Resilience in a complex, changing environment and a willingness to ask questions and challenge assumptions.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate commercial risk clearly to a board and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Protecting the commercial position across all principal contracts, managing interfaces between counterparties and ensuring contractual compliance
• Managing commercial risk, extension of time claims, variations and dispute resolution in support of the Project Manager
• Delivering clear, timely and accurate reporting to the board, equity partners and lenders on commercial risk, budget and schedule
• Leading project budgeting and forecasting, building financial models and analysing variances to identify savings
• Developing business cases to support or decline variations and managing expenditure budgets alongside Finance
• Establishing governance for project delivery and reporting within the contractual framework
• Building strong relationships with senior EPC contractors and internal teams including Finance, Treasury, Tax and Strategy
• Recruiting, shaping and leading the commercial team
• Leading by example on health, safety and environmental standards
