Job summary

Mace is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to lead commercial strategy and financial performance for a major programme in Australia. You will consolidate data, manage commercial deliverables, and guide a high-performing team to achieve project objectives.

The role focuses on maximizing margins, mitigating risks, and aligning commercial activities with strategic goals, while working with project leadership to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or equivalent qualification.
• Commercial management expertise across complex construction programmes and contracts.
• Strong knowledge of risk, contract administration, value engineering, and lifecycle costing.
• Professional MRICS/RICS membership or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial strategy, managing revenue, cost, and financial performance across the programme.
• Consolidate financial data and commercial agreements to support informed decision-making.
• Lead and develop the commercial team to deliver project objectives and business outcomes.
• Optimise project margins while safeguarding the business from commercial risk.
• Provide strategic commercial direction aligned with programme and project goals.
• Partner with project leadership to drive performance, governance, and successful delivery.
