Job summary

WSP in Australia is seeking a Commercial Executive to provide senior commercial leadership across major bids, projects and strategic client arrangements. You will work with Business Group, operations and project leaders to anticipate commercial risks, shape pricing and ensure robust commercial foundations at mobilisation.

The role emphasizes navigating variations, claims and entitlement recovery, with a focus on translating financial performance into clear risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading commercial teams on complex bids and major projects.
• Strong understanding of contracts, variations, and entitlement recovery.
• Ability to translate financial data into actionable risk and opportunity.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Experience across panels, frameworks, or strategic client arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive commercial leadership across a portfolio of projects.
• Identify risks and opportunities early with stakeholders.
• Lead pricing, fee builds, assumptions and contingencies.
• Oversee mobilization and handover for major projects.
• Manage post-award variations, claims and entitlement recovery.
• Translate project financial info into actionable insights.
• Coach Project Managers to improve commercial capability.
