Qualifications

• 15+ years in commercial contracts, contract administration or contract management.
• Experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure, energy or professional consulting services.
• Expertise administering and advising on complex commercial contracts and contractual interfaces.
• Strong understanding of risk allocation, variations, claims, extensions of time, negotiations and dispute avoidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on administration and management of complex commercial contracts, including consultancy and professional services agreements, subcontractor agreements and amendments.
• Review and interpret terms, conditions, obligations and entitlements, identifying commercial implications and risk.
• Monitor milestones, deliverables, notices, key dates and compliance throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Advise on contract variations, extensions of time, scope changes, claims, disputes and other contractual matters.
• Identify, assess and mitigate contractual and commercial risks and recommend practical strategies.
• Support commercial negotiations with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders to achieve favourable outcomes.
• Collaborate with legal, procurement, finance, engineering and project delivery teams to resolve issues and support informed decisions.
• Maintain contract registers, documentation, commercial records and reporting for governance and audit readiness.
• Provide commercial analysis, risk assessments and regular reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Support contract close-out, final account reviews and outstanding obligations resolution.
• Review and improve contract management procedures for consistency and efficiency.
• Provide guidance to contract administrators and project teams on contractual and commercial matters.
