Job summary

Optus is seeking a Commercial Contract Manager to optimise commercial and contractual performance of Tier 1 ICT contracts. You will work with Account Directors and Delivery Directors to lead complex negotiations, commercial discussions, and dispute resolution to deliver favourable outcomes for Optus.

The role manages high-value ICT contracts, supports major bids and contract changes, and ensures compliance with commercial, legal, risk, and governance requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial contract management within ICT/out­sourcing.
• Ability to draft, negotiate, and manage complex customer and supplier agreements.
• Proven track record leading negotiations, resolving disputes, and achieving savings.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and contract negotiations for new opportunities, variations, SOWs, and supplier agreements to support account growth and profitability.
• Provide expert commercial, contractual, and governance advice to account teams.
• Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle: drafting, reviewing, negotiating, approving, administering agreements.
• Act as escalation point for contract issues, driving timely resolution of disputes and favourable outcomes.
• Monitor performance, obligations, deliverables, risks, and change controls; maintain accurate records.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks while maximizing value and managing supplier relationships.
