Job summary

Optus is seeking a Commercial Contracts Manager to draft, review and negotiate customer contracts and to support the Optus Wholesale Division on legal and commercial documentation. You will manage the pre-signing aspects of the customer relationship and provide key support to all members of the Optus Wholesale Division, ensuring risk management and compliance with internal policies and legislation.

Qualifications

• Legal drafting experience and a legal academic background, such as a law degree or equivalent qualifications.
• Extensive years of relevant work experience in contract drafting, negotiation, legal risk management, compliance, and governance.
• Ability to draft bespoke legal and commercial terms without precedents.
• Attention to detail, excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Contracts preparation & negotiation – Drafting and negotiation of all customer contracts, including standard and bespoke agreements, variation agreements, promotion letters, notices, novation agreements, settlement agreements and termination agreements.
