Optusis seeking a Commercial Contracts Manager to draft, review and negotiate customer contracts and related legal documentation. You will support the Optus Wholesale Division, guiding risk management, policy compliance and governance across pre-signing activities.

The role requires extensive drafting experience, a legal background and the ability to draft bespoke terms without precedents while ensuring timely, risk-aware commercial decisions.

Qualifications

• Legal drafting experience and a law degree or equivalent qualifications.
• Extensive years of relevant contract drafting and governance experience.
• Experience as a lawyer in private practice or in-house preferred.
• Ability to draft bespoke terms without precedents.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate customer contracts including variations and termination.
• Ensure compliance with Sale Contracts Policy and regulatory frameworks.
• Provide first-level legal support to Optus Wholesale Division.
• Manage legal risk and mitigate exposure in contracts.
• Improve contract governance from drafting to signing.
