Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a Collections Officer to join our supportive finance team. You will own the collections cycle, actively follow up on aged debt, and build strong relationships with customers to secure timely payments while protecting cash flow.

You will manage banking, reconciliations, and reporting, lead weekly debtor reviews, and continuously improve collection strategies. The role suits experienced professionals who balance customer outcomes with results, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–4+ years’ experience in collections, credit control, AR or related role.
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline preferred.
• Strong knowledge of credit management, collections practices and the receivables cycle.
• Demonstrated experience reducing DSO, improving cash flow and managing aged debt.
• Proven experience preparing DSO, aged debt and collection performance reporting for senior management and Board packs.

Responsibilities

• Own the collections cycle – proactively manage aged debtors through daily phone and email follow-up.
• Banking & reconciliations – process daily banking, receipting and account reconciliations.
• Relationship Management – build strong customer relationships while resolving complex billing disputes.
• Reporting & insights – prepare weekly arrears, aged debt, collections and bad debt reporting.
• Lead debtor reviews – facilitate weekly debtor meetings, providing updates on accounts and actions.
• Collection strategies – implement and continuously improve collection strategies to strengthen payment performance.
• Data integrity – maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records across core systems.
