Job summary

Clough, as part of Webuild, is delivering WA’s landmark CERES urea project and is seeking a Coating QC Inspector to join the Karratha-based team. You will inspect SMP works, review drawings and contract documents, and conduct site tests to ensure safety, regulatory and quality standards.

You will collaborate with contractors, project managers and engineers to resolve issues and drive quality on site. Attention to detail and timely reporting of non-conformances are essential to keep the project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience as a Quality Control Inspector in SM.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and QC procedures.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools, measuring instruments, and relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify the quality of SMP works and construction processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accuracy and feasibility of construction methods.
• Conduct regular site inspections and tests on workmanship to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Document and report on quality issues, including any non-compliance, defects, or deviations from standards, and work with the project team to resolve them.
• Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and engineers to ensure that all corrective actions are implemented and issues are addressed promptly.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechnical Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Quality Control Inspector in SM.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools, measuring instruments, and relevant software.
