Job summary

Clough is seeking a Coating QC Inspector for its Karratha-based team, focusing on inspecting SMP works and verifying construction quality for the CERES urea project in WA.

You will review drawings, conduct site inspections, and report non-conformities while collaborating with contractors and engineers to implement corrective actions and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience as Quality Control Inspector in SM.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and QC procedures.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency with inspection tools and measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify the quality of SMP works and construction processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accuracy and feasibility of construction methods.
• Conduct regular site inspections and tests on workmanship to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Document and report on quality issues, including any non-compliance, defects, or deviations from standards, and work with the project team to resolve them.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechnical Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Quality Control Inspector in SM.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools, measuring instruments, and relevant software.
