Job summary

CyberCX Pty Ltd is recruiting a Cloud Engineer – Cloud Operations in Canberra to deliver secure, scalable and reliable cloud services in a Managed Services environment. You will work with Pre-sales, Professional Services and Leadership to ensure operational excellence, service continuity and long-term customer success in Microsoft Azure and 365 environments.

You will focus on monitoring, troubleshooting, optimisation and automation to deliver high-quality cloud outcomes aligned with client

Qualifications

  • Strong Azure and Microsoft 365 experience or certification.
  • Broad experience across Azure platform services and Windows systems.
  • Background in delivering cloud services within a Managed Services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise customer cloud environments, especially Azure and Microsoft 365, for availability and cost efficiency.
  • Automate workflows and apply best practices to reduce manual effort.
  • Provide proactive client support and resolve cloud issues before they affect services.
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure, security, and networking issues with minimal downtime.
  • Maintain secure cloud environments aligned with standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
  • Implement security controls and run vulnerability assessments to protect client systems.
  • Collaborate with Pre-sales, Professional Services, Leadership and clients to align cloud services with business needs.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise cloud environments and improve client outcomes.
  • Participate in an on-call roster per payroll and overtime policies.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong Azure and Microsoft 365 experience or certification, including Azure IaaS, Azure PaaS, Windows 365, Intune, and Defender.
  • Broad experience across Azure platform services, Windows systems, Microsoft identity and mail services, database platforms, Microsoft and third‑party security tools, and DevOps technologies including Azure DevOps.
  • Background in delivering cloud services within a Managed Services environment, including monitoring, incident management, and SLA compliance.
  • Experience using cloud monitoring tools to manage, troubleshoot, and optimise infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, including VPCs, VPNs, hybrid cloud, and inter-cloud connectivity.
  • Database Administration skills would beadvantageous.

Please note that due to the nature of this role, it is amandatoryrequirement that all applicants areAustralian citizenswith the ability to hold anAustralian Security Clearance.
