In this role, you will be provided with training on all specialties and gain hands‑on coding experience with the Clinical Coder Trainee Program.

What you'll be doing
The primary responsibility of a Trainee Clinical Coder is to undertake training for accurate translation of narrativedescriptions of diseases and procedures into alphanumeric codes using the International Classification of Diseases,Tenth Revision, Australian Modification (ICD-10-AM) classification system.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria.
Demonstrated experience in using computerised systems and Microsoft software with strong analytical skills and proven attention to detail.
