Job summary

National Civil & Foundations Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Foreman – Utilities/Services to lead civil works across Melbourne projects, including water/sewer services, pavement and excavation. This hands-on leadership role requires a strong background in utilities and pavement construction, with a focus on delivering quality outcomes in the field.

Qualifications

• Experience minimum 10 years as a Foreman in civil construction with significant utilities experience.
• Strong knowledge of civil works involving utilities/services, pavement construction and earthworks.
• Willingness to work across Melbourne Vic.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily site activities and coordinate crews, subcontractors, and equipment.
• Plan daily activities and coordinate labour, plant, equipment and materials.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications and levels.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.
• Mentor workers to uphold high standards and teamwork.
• Communicate progress with Project Managers and resolve site issues promptly.
• Uphold OH&S, environmental and quality requirements.
• Contribute to planning, productivity and continuous improvement onsite.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
