Job summary

Buildability Group Professional Roles in Melbourne is seeking a Civil Foreman to oversee site activities on large commercial landscape projects. You will read plans, coordinate earthworks and drainage, supervise concrete works, and manage subcontractors with safety and quality in focus.

You will work with an experienced Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Relocation to Melbourne area is not specified.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years’ experience as a Civil Foreman, Supervisor or Site Manager.
• Strong hands-on knowledge around concrete works.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong understanding of WHS and site management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Their repeat clientele are predominantly Tier 1 contractors, with typical projects ranging from $1m – $5m, involving all facets of technical landscaping and now also the civil components.

The Role

• Read and interpret civil construction plans
• Site set out and coordination of works
• Supervise concrete works including formwork, reinforcement, pours and finishes
• Coordinate earthworks, drainage and associated civil works
• Procurement of materials, equipment and resources
• Subcontractor management
• WHS implementation and site safety
• Quality control and defect management
• Oversee and delegate duties to trades and labour
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and other project stakeholders
• Report in collaboration with the Project Manager
• Assist with cost tracking, programming and forecasting
