Job summary

AECOM in Newcastle is seeking a skilled civil engineer to join our transport infrastructure team. You will plan and deliver multi-disciplinary projects, support with client coordination, and help manage budgets and schedules.

You'll work on earthworks, drainage, utilities and roads, attend site visits with contractors, and ensure quality and timeliness while collaborating with a diverse, inclusive team across Australia and NZ.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-disciplinary civil engineering design environment from highways to renewable projects.
• Delivery of general civil workscopes including siteworks, drainage, surface water management, utilities (preferred).
• Written and verbal communication with clients and external stakeholders will form part of the position expectations.
• Experience in managing project budgets and timelines, plus small teams for specific tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver multi-disciplinary projects (or components of projects) including assisting with project management and client coordination
• Performing and routing engineering tasks which may include the design of earthworks, minor pavements, stormwater, highways and roads, utilities and similar infrastructure
• Attending site visits and working with construction contractors
• Ensuring compliance with quality, budget and schedule requirements.
