Job summary

AECOM is seeking a developing civil engineer to support site infrastructure design across projects, contributing to stormwater, earthworks and basic water/wastewater designs under senior guidance. You will gather data, perform calculations and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solid, practical solutions.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ post-graduate experience in civil/site infrastructure design.
• Exposure to Austroads and local council/authority requirements or willingness to learn quickly.
• Developing competency in stormwater and familiarity with earthworks and basic water/wastewater design tasks.
• Interest in WSUD principles and how they integrate with stormwater solutions.
• Process-driven and detail-oriented with a focus on quality deliverables.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform specific and limited portions of broader civil/site infrastructure assignments under moderate supervision.
• Gather, interpret and correlate engineering data using established procedures.
• Work on detailed design tasks involving calculations, modelling and tests/checks.
• Support delivery of stormwater, earthworks and basic water/wastewater infrastructure elements.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders on interfaces.
• Provide day-to-day support and guidance to graduates/entry-level engineers.
