Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Senior Civil Designer to join a multidisciplinary team supporting major mining, energy and infrastructure projects in Western Australia. You will develop civil designs, create 3D models for roads and earthworks, and manage GIS data across project stages.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in similar roles, strong 12d Model and MicroStation skills, and experience in BIM and 3D design environments. The role emphasizes collaboration and delivering on schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in a Senior Civil Designer role.
• Mining, resources, energy, or heavy industry project exposure.
• Advanced proficiency with 12d Model and Bentley MicroStation.
• Experience in road design, earthworks, drainage, and technical drawings.
• GIS platforms such as ArcGIS Pro or Global Mapper experience.
• Familiarity with BIM and 3D design environments.
• Strong communication within multidisciplinary teams.
• Diploma of Civil Engineering or related qualification preferred.
• 12d customization and macros experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil designs and 3D models for roads, earthworks, drainage, and supporting infrastructure.
• Produce detailed drawing packages including plans, profiles, drainage, pavement, and utilities.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver integrated designs.
• Manage geospatial, survey, and LiDAR data to support design development.
• Assist with GIS mapping and spatial data requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and project requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and technical discussions.
• Deliver work in line with project schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.
