Job summary

CGC Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Designer to join a high-performing engineering team delivering land development and civil infrastructure projects across Perth. You will produce detailed civil designs, drawings, and cost estimates for earthworks, roadworks, stormwater, traffic, and water/sewer reticulation, and provide technical input from concept through to construction.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years’ experience in civil design within land development or civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards and local authority requirements (ideally Perth-based projects).
• Proven proficiency in 12d Model to be considered.
• Strong capability in civil drafting and design delivery across multi-disciplinary projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Collaborative and proactive approach with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver detailed civil design documentation, drawings, and cost estimates across land development and civil infrastructure projects.
• Undertake design work across roads, earthworks, stormwater drainage, traffic, and water/sewer reticulation networks.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, local authority requirements, and internal QA processes.
• Provide technical input, including problem-solving and development of practical engineering solutions.
• Coordinate effectively with engineers, drafters, and external service authorities to support seamless project delivery.
• Review drawings and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to submission.
• Support projects through all stages, from concept and planning through to construction delivery.
