Job summary

GemLife Administration Pty Ltd on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of civil infrastructure across South East Queensland, leading a team of up to 50 personnel and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Reporting to the Head of Civil Operations, you will plan programs, manage procurement and plant allocation, and drive efficiencies across multiple sites while upholding GemLife's quality standards and service

Qualifications

• Extensive civil construction experience with earthworks, services, structures and pavement works.
• Senior leadership experience in Civil Construction Manager, Operations Manager or Senior Project Manager roles.
• Proven ability to allocate plant, equipment and workforce across multiple projects.
• Strong budget forecasting and commercial acumen for project performance.
• Knowledge of survey systems, GPS technology and geotechnical requirements.
• Experience using project management systems such as Procore; familiarity with AutoCAD/12d is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple civil construction projects across South East Queensland.
• Develop and execute construction programs aligned with project delivery objectives.
• Drive safety, quality, environmental compliance, budget and programme performance.
• Review construction documentation for accuracy, constructability and compliance.
• Manage contractor procurement and tendering activities.
• Provide regular project reporting to key stakeholders.
• Partner with Development and Construction teams to identify delivery efficiencies.
• Continuously evaluate construction methods and implement industry best practices.
• Support QA/QC and compliance systems.
• Drive innovation and productivity improvements across civil works.
• Coordinate with Residential and Commercial teams for seamless handover.
