Job summary

GemLife is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of civil works across our expanding portfolio of luxury over-50s lifestyle resorts throughout South East Queensland. Reporting to the Head of Civil Operations, you will lead a dedicated team and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget while maintaining GemLife's high standards.

Based at our Gold Coast office, you will drive efficiency, constructability reviews and stakeholder coordination

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in civil construction across earthworks, services, structures, concrete and pavements.
• Experience in senior leadership roles (Civil Construction Manager, Operations Manager, Senior Project Manager or Project Manager).
• Ability to manage plant, equipment and workforce across multiple projects.
• Experience delivering large-scale subdivisions, group title communities, commercial or industrial developments.
• Strong commercial acumen with budget and performance forecasting.
• Knowledge of GPS, survey systems and geotechnical requirements.
• Procore experience is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and 12d is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple civil construction projects across South East Queensland.
• Develop and execute construction programs aligned with delivery objectives.
• Drive safety, quality, environmental compliance, budget and schedule performance.
• Review construction documentation for accuracy and constructability.
• Manage contractor procurement and tendering activities.
• Provide regular project reporting to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Residential and Commercial teams for seamless handover.
• Mentor project teams and foster accountability and collaboration.
