Job summary

GemLife is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Manager to oversee civil works across its expanding portfolio of luxury over-50s lifestyle resorts in South East Queensland.

Reporting to the Head of Civil Operations, you will lead up to 50 personnel, drive programs, allocate resources, manage procurement and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery for multiple sites from the brand-new Gold Coast head office.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in civil construction with earthworks, services, structures, concrete and pavement.
• Proven senior leadership in Civil Construction Manager / Project Manager roles.
• Ability to allocate plant, equipment and workforce across multiple projects.
• Experience delivering large-scale subdivisions or commercial developments.
• Strong budgeting and forecasting capabilities.
• Knowledge of survey systems, GPS and geotechnical requirements.
• Experience with Procore; AutoCAD/12d advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple civil construction projects across South East Queensland.
• Develop and execute construction programs aligned with project delivery objectives.
• Drive safety, quality, environmental compliance, budget and schedule performance.
• Review construction documentation for accuracy, constructability and compliance.
• Oversee contractor procurement and tendering activities to optimize commercial outcomes.
• Provide regular project reporting to stakeholders.
• Mentor project teams and foster accountability and collaboration.
