Job summary

Lion is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract to lead two major network refresh projects across Australia and New Zealand. You will bring hands-on Cisco expertise to plan and deliver switch and wireless refreshes across the network.

Working with the Network Service Delivery Manager and Project Manager, you’ll travel to Lion sites, plan cutovers and outages, and guide onsite teams to ensure successful delivery while maintaining operational uptime.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on network engineering experience, ideally around 10 years, including delivery of large-scale network refresh projects.
• Strong Cisco switching and wireless capability, with CCNA or CCNP certification highly regarded.
• Experience with SD-WAN, with Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) will be beneficial.
• Experience planning and executing network installations, cutovers and changes in complex operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan the technical approach for each site and configure Cisco switches, wireless infrastructure and associated network technology.
• Lead the technical delivery of a full network switch refresh and replacement of approximately 600 wireless access points.
• Partner with site teams, the Network Service Delivery Manager and Project Manager to plan cutovers, outages and change activities.
• Travel to Lion sites across Australia and New Zealand to support installations, cutovers and successful delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve the broader network environment while completing planned refresh activities.
• Guide onsite support teams through technical activities remotely where required.
