Job summary

FinXL is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead a major network deployment and refresh for an Enterprise Banking organisation. You will configure Cisco routing, switching, and wireless, deploy firewalls, and conduct WiFi surveys across sites, with travel to regional data centres.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in enterprise network engineering and support.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco routing, switching, and wireless solutions.
• Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting Firewalls (ideally Cisco FTD).
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and network security principles.
• Valid industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Aruba).
• Willingness to travel to customer sites (White Card is highly advantageous).
• Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco switches, routers, and FTD firewalls.
• Perform network migrations, implementations, and setup of new equipment.
• Conduct WiFi surveys and deploy Cisco wireless infrastructure across new sites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network performance and connectivity issues.
• Review, interpret, and implement minor changes to network architecture designs.
• Maintain comprehensive network documentation and technical standards.
• Travel occasionally to regional sites and data centres for device racking.
