Job summary

Anglo American Steelmaking Coal is seeking an experienced CHPP Electrical Coordinator to join the Engineering and Maintenance team at Moranbah North Mine. This is a key leadership role coordinating electrical maintenance across the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant, working with operations, maintenance, planning, engineering and contractors to ensure electrical work is completed safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification and Queensland electrical licence are essential.
• Demonstrated CHPP/fixed plant maintenance experience in mining or heavy industry.
• Experience coordinating electrical trades and contractors.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety, isolation, commissioning and permit-to-work.
• Experience with fault finding and planned maintenance; PLC and HV systems exposure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical maintenance activities across the CHPP and infrastructure.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and technical support to electrical personnel and contractors.
• Ensure work is planned, risk assessed and performed safely.
• Support breakdown response, fault finding and return-to-service.
• Collaborate with planning and operations to prioritise maintenance and minimise downtime.
• Coordinate isolations, commissioning activities and plant modifications.
• Monitor defects and maintenance performance; support compliance activities.
• Maintain accurate electrical documentation and authorisations.
