Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead a professional culinary team in a residential aged care setting in New South Wales. The role combines culinary expertise with strong leadership to deliver nutritious, enjoyable and dignified dining experiences for older Australians.

You will oversee daily kitchen operations, develop menus, ensure food safety and drive service excellence while managing resources and costs.

Qualifications

• Relevant Commercial Cookery qualification.
• Demonstrated experience as Chef Manager, Head Chef, Sous Chef or senior chef.
• Experience managing a commercial or large-scale catering kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of foodsafety and HACCP practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a kitchen team.
• Experience preparing nutritious and varied meals for diverse dietary needs.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with care, hospitality and operational teams.
• A genuine commitment to resident wellbeing and quality dining experiences.
• Previous experience in aged care, healthcare, hospitality or institutional catering highly regarded.
