Job summary

Anglicare is seeking a hands-on Kitchen Lead for an Aged Care site in Rushcutters Bay. You will lead a team to deliver high-quality kitchen and dining services for residents, focusing on leadership, presentation, and excellent dining experiences.

You will oversee meal preparation, food presentation, and service while managing ordering, stock control, rostering and budgets. You will ensure HACCP compliance and support diverse dietary needs, collaborating with clinical teams to continually improve

Qualifications

• Commercial Cookery qualification (or equivalent) and supervisory kitchen experience.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing food ordering, stock control and budgets.
• Experience leading teams and fostering a positive food safety culture.
• Experience with special diets, allergens or texture-modified meals is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team delivering exceptional kitchen and dining services.
• Oversee meal preparation, food presentation and service to ensure a positive dining experience for residents.
• Manage kitchen operations including ordering, stock control, rostering and food budgets.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety Programs, HACCP principles and food safety legislation.
• Support residents with diverse dietary, allergy and texture-modified meal requirements.
• Collaborate with clinical and lifestyle teams to improve menus and resident satisfaction.
• Coach and develop your team while fostering a positive food safety culture.
• Drive continuous improvement across food quality, service standards and compliance.
