RAC WA is seeking a Senior Change Manager to lead planning, development and delivery of change activity for a portfolio within a complex program. You will work from our West Perth office and partner with program delivery teams and senior leaders to drive adoption and business outcomes.
The role requires substantial change management experience in complex programs, strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to tailor communications to diverse audiences.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Change Manager who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a passion for guiding people through complex change. Working within RAC's change function, you will take ownership of a portfolio of change within a complex program, partnering with program delivery teams, business leaders and stakeholders to deliver effective change outcomes. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You will apply change management methodology to a portfolio of work to integrate into a broader program change plan. You will be working with a team of change managers to establish the change approach for your portfolio, manage interdependencies and maintain alignment with the broader program, while advising senior stakeholders and supporting change capability building across the organisation. This is a 12-month maximum-term position, based in our Wellington Street office in West Perth, with the possibility of extension based on business needs, performance and portfolio requirements.
Taking ownership of the planning, development and delivery of change activity for an assigned portfolio or workstream within a complex program. Developing change management strategies and plans aligned with broader program objectives and business outcomes. Collaborating across program streams to understand interdependencies, manage competing priorities and coordinate change impacts. Advising and influencing senior stakeholders, constructively challenging approaches and escalating risks affecting readiness or adoption. Creating and delivering effective communications and engagement activities tailored to different audiences. Conducting impact and readiness assessments to identify training, communication and other interventions required to support change. Working with business leaders and delivery teams to address readiness gaps and embed new ways of working. Supporting change capability through coaching, knowledge sharing and collaboration with other Change Managers, project teams and business leaders. Delivering change management outputs that meet program, portfolio and executive requirements, tracking progress against agreed success measures.
Substantial experience delivering change within complex programs, including ownership of a portfolio, workstream or business area within a broader program. The ability to operate autonomously, establish structure and priorities, and take accountability for delivery while maintaining program alignment. Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to connect change activity to broader business objectives and recognise interdependencies. Practical expertise in change management principles, methodologies and tools, with the judgement to adapt your approach to different contexts. An adaptable, flexible approach, with the ability to work through ambiguity and shift focus across portfolios or workstreams as program priorities evolve. Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience advising senior leaders and navigating differing perspectives. Experience supporting change capability through coaching, knowledge sharing or helping leaders and teams take ownership of change. Expertise in developing and delivering communications tailored to different audience needs. Experience in Finance, Risk, technology or Insurance environments would be advantageous. Experience supporting strategic partnerships or operating-model change would also be valuable. Qualifications in a Change Management discipline or methodology are desirable but not essential.
