Job summary

VACCA in Preston, VIC is seeking a Permanent full-time role to support Aboriginal individuals, families, Elders and youth experiencing homelessness. You will provide culturally safe, trauma-informed assistance to strengthen housing stability, wellbeing and connection to culture.

This position is based in Preston, with responsibilities that include collaboration with partners and case management. The role requires a Certificate or Diploma in Community Services and at least 2 years in housing,

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Community Services required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in housing and homelessness or related field with demonstrated experience in case management.
• Valid Police Check, Victorian Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) and Victorian Driver Licence.
• Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)

Responsibilities

• Support Aboriginal individuals, families, Elders and young people experiencing homelessness using a culturally safe approach.
• Advocate and collaborate with community and service partners to strengthen housing stability, wellbeing and connection to culture.
• Manage case notes and reports and contribute to service delivery improvements.
