Job summary

VACCA is seeking a dedicated Community Services professional to support Aboriginal individuals, families, Elders and youth experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Preston, Victoria. You will work using culturally safe, trauma-informed approaches to enhance stability, wellbeing and connection to culture, family and community.

Key responsibilities include client-centred case management, advocacy and collaboration with service partners.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Community Services is desirable.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in housing and homelessness or related community service field, with demonstrated case management experience.
• Requirements: Valid Police Check, Victorian Working with Children Check for paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and Victorian Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Walk alongside Aboriginal individuals, families, Elders and young people to strengthen housing stability, wellbeing and connection to culture.
• Provide culturally safe support and advocacy and work collaboratively with community and service partners.
