Job summary

Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency Co Op – Preston VIC is seeking a dedicated professional to support Aboriginal individuals, families, Elders and young people facing homelessness. You will work using a culturally safe, trauma-informed approach to strengthen stability, wellbeing and connection to culture.

The role emphasises case management, collaboration with partners and independent, organized communication within a values-driven team environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Community Services.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in housing and homelessness or a related community service field, with demonstrated experience in case management.
• Requirements: Valid Police Check, a Victorian Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
• Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly recommended).

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally safe support and advocacy to Aboriginal individuals, families, Elders and young people.
• Support housing stability, wellbeing and connection to culture for community members.
• Collaborate with community and service partners to strengthen housing outcomes and service access.
