Job summary

The Department of Health Tasmania seeks an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will work within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, supporting best-practice patient care.

The role offers exposure to a wide range of pathophysiology including adult, paediatric and exercise echocardiography with an after-hours on-call service.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Cardiac Physiologist in echocardiography with knowledge of cardiovascular haemodynamics and rhythm interpretation.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and ability to supervise/educate others in echocardiography.
• ASAR accreditation in cardiac ultrasound or eligibility for ASAR accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Liaise with a multi-disciplinary team to support best-practice patient care.
• Exposure to paediatric, adult congenital, and exercise echocardiography with after-hours on-call responsibility.
