Advara HeartCare in Adelaide is seeking a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist (Echocardiography) to deliver high-quality diagnostics and patient care. You will perform transthoracic and stress echocardiography, assist with transoesophageal studies, and support the growing structural heart program alongside cardiologists and other specialists.

The role requires a postgraduate qualification in Cardiac Ultrasound, current ASAR registration, and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Cardiac Ultrasound.
• Current registration with ASAR.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in echocardiography.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient and inpatient transthoracic echocardiography.
• Perform exercise and dobutamine stress echocardiography.
• Assist with transoesophageal echocardiography.
• Administer adult congenital heart disease echocardiography clinic (weekly).
• Support the structural heart program, including TAVI, PFO/ASD closure, LAA closure, and Mitral Clip procedures.
• Operate ultrasound equipment, obtain optimal images, and support diagnoses.
• Interpret and process patient requests, ensuring accurate identification and history review.
• Document patient conditions and deliver high‑quality care and customer service.
• Build relationships with referrers and patients, explaining procedures clearly.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and staff to maintain quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
