Job summary

Australia Post is seeking a technically strong Senior Business Analyst to join the PostPlus Backend Services team. You will dig into details, solve complex integration challenges, and translate business outcomes into build-ready requirements.

In this hands-on role, you’ll analyze APIs, data flows, and system interactions, ensuring features and epics are clearly defined for delivery, testing and support. Collaborate with product owners, architects and delivery teams to shape solutions for

Qualifications

• Extensive Business Analysis experience within technology delivery environments.
• Strong experience defining system, integration, API and data requirements.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and turn complex problems into clear delivery outcomes.
• Proactive approach to challenging assumptions and uncovering hidden requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
• Strong documentation skills using Jira, Confluence and related delivery platforms.
• Confidence working with technical teams to understand APIs, payloads, workflows, logging and exception handling.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into clear, actionable and delivery-ready requirements.
• Shape features and epics into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Analyse system interactions, data flows, business rules and integration requirements.
• Review API specifications, payloads, request and response patterns, and technical constraints.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand solution impacts and dependencies.
• Identify gaps, risks and downstream impacts across systems and processes.
• Support backlog refinement, estimation and prioritisation activities.
• Produce high-quality documentation that enables efficient development, testing and support outcomes.
