Bluefin Resources Pty is seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Functional Consultant for Dynamics 365 CRM in Sydney with remote/WFH flexibility. You will bridge business needs and technology, shaping the platform through end-to-end BA work, workshops and collaboration with partners to enable scale and automation.

Ideal candidates have extensive D365 CRM experience, strong stakeholder skills, and familiarity with Power Platform tools to drive design, integration and data migration across sessions

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a BA delivering complex technology change with senior ownership.
• Proven experience on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM (or enterprise CRM).
• Strong knowledge of D365 concepts: configuration, entities, forms, views, workflows and security.
• Experience defining requirements for APIs, integrations, data migration and non-functional needs.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑team collaboration skills.
• Strong modelling, facilitation and requirements traceability abilities.

Job title: Senior Business Analyst / Functional Consultant, Dynamics 365 CRM

• Work type:12 month contract
• Location: Sydney + WFH

About the Role:

Join a major CRM and automation transformation within a leading Australian financial services organisation. With the Dynamics 365 platform heading towards its first major release, you’ll join the team early to support delivery, work closely with the implementation partner, and help build lasting internal capability.

The first release is just the beginning. The following 12 months will focus on expanding the platform through custom workflows, integrations, automation and broader functionality, so this is a chance to shape the solution, not just maintain it.

As the bridge between the business and technology, you will translate complex business needs into clear, implementation-ready requirements for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own business and technical analysis end to end, from discovery and design through build, testing, implementation and transition to support
• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers, testers, data teams and third-party providers to define problems, outcomes and scope
• Elicit, analyse and prioritise functional, data, integration, reporting, security and non-functional requirements, maintaining traceability throughout
• Model current and future-state processes, user journeys, business rules, data flows and role-based access
• Translate business needs into Dynamics 365 requirements, including entities, forms, views, workflows, automation and interfaces
• Facilitate workshops, challenge assumptions and support decisions that balance business value, user experience, risk and technical feasibility
• Support data migration and integration analysis, including mapping, cleansing rules, reconciliation and API requirementsDefine acceptance criteria and support SIT, UAT, defect triage and go-live readiness
• Contribute to better BA standards, reusable patterns and delivery practices

Essential Criteria:

• 7+ years of business analysis experience delivering complex technology and business change, with senior-level ownership of outcomes
• Proven experience as a technical BA or functional consultant on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM (or a comparable enterprise CRM)
• Strong knowledge of D365 concepts, including configuration, customisation, entities and data models, forms, views, workflows, security roles and solution lifecycle
• Experience defining requirements for APIs, third-party integrations, data migration, reporting, identity and access, and non-functional needs
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to work across business teams, engineers and delivery partners
• Strong process modelling, workshop facilitation and requirements traceability skills

Highly regarded:

• Background in wealth management, financial advice, superannuation or banking
• Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI
• Exposure to Azure integration services
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio and Miro, and experience in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid environments
• Tertiary qualifications in business or IT, and/or a Dynamics 365 or Power Platform certification
