Job summary

Ethos BeathChapman is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with a strong data governance focus for a long-term rolling engagement in Sydney. The role involves delivering assessments and data, risk and controls analysis for a financial services client.

You will lead end-to-end processes from discovery, analysis and testing to working with Data SMEs and risk teams, applying Agile methods on data-led projects and regulatory reporting transformations. Intermediate SQL skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in data governance and data controls projects.
• Strong knowledge of data lineage, data quality, data sourcing and controls.
• Experience with regulatory reporting transformations and risk/controls analysis.

Responsibilities

• Document data controls/risks, data sourcing and gaps analysis.
• Collaborate with system specialists and SMEs on data lineage and controls.
• Lead end-to-end process from discovery to testing with Data SMEs and risk teams.
• Work with data-led projects, define data flows and sources.
• Apply Agile delivery and manage senior stakeholders including risk teams.
• Analyse and define data controls; contribute to governance uplift.

Senior Business Analyst - Data Lineage & Controls

Our client is a financial services organisation with a focus to transform the way they deliver excellence and innovation. We currently have a need for a Senior Business Analyst with a strong data governance focus to undergo an exciting piece of work. This opportunity is long term rolling engagement.

You will be integral to helping its vision by playing a key role in the delivery of assessments and data, risk and controls analysis for the business. Your expertise will be in data goverance as an to end business analyst professional with proven experience across complex regulatory, goverance uplift and data programs. Skills and experience includes:

• Understand, explore and document data controls/risks, data sourcing and critical elements gaps analysis
• Work with system specialists and SME's deep diving into data lineage and controls, quality, data completeness and data availability
• Lead the end to end process from discovery phase, analysis and testing toworking with Data SME's and the business units and risk
• While you will be working with technical experts experience working within data led projects - including understanding/defining data flows and sources
• Agile delivery experience and senior stakeholder management including line1 risk teams
• Previous experience in analysing and defining data controls (essential)
• Experience from large data goverance, risk and controls projects (essential)
• Regulatory reporting transformation(essential)
