Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Baseplan Software seeks a Senior Business Analyst to drive discovery and solution design across product areas. You will translate customer and internal needs into clear, agent-ready specifications and verify alignment with what is built.
You will own requirements, use AI-assisted capture, and collaborate with Product, Engineers and QA to ensure successful delivery while maintaining the backlog and producing wireframes and data mappings for UI transitions.
The Senior BA leads discovery and solution design across product areas, turns customer and internal needs into clear, agent-ready specifications, verifies that what is built matches what was asked.
Lead discovery with customers, Product Managers and internal SMEs, from framing the business problem through to an agreed scope, including multi-module and multi-customer initiatives.
Write clear, testable requirements that allow engineers, testers and AI agents to proceed with minimal ambiguity and unnecessary rework.
Maintain the backlog for your modules in Jira, keeping items refined, prioritised with the Product Team Lead and ready for sprint planning.
Own solution design for your product areas with the Solution Architect and Product Managers, ensuring solutions fit Baseplan’s product direction rather than one customer’s workaround.
Produce wireframes, screen specifications and data mappings for screens moving from the legacy UI to the Web UI.
Assess change requests for impact across modules, integrations and reporting, and recommend build, configure or decline.
Use AI tooling (LLM assistants, agents or whichever harness Baseplan adopts) to capture requirements from customer conversations, workshop notes, support tickets and existing documentation, then validate and refine the output into approved requirements rather than accepting it as-is.
Write structured use cases (actors, preconditions, main and alternate flows, postconditions, business rules) in a format that AI development and test agents can consume directly to build screens and generate tests.
Generate and compare solution options with AI, evaluate them against Baseplan’s product direction, data model and integration constraints, and take the recommended design to the Solution Architect for sign-off.
Help build and maintain the prompt library, templates and examples that make requirements capture, use-case writing and solution design repeatable across the Product team and keep them current as the agents improve.
Measure how much of the requirements and design effort the AI workflow saves and where it produces errors and adjust the process accordingly.
Verify delivered screens and features against the requirement before they reach customers, working the QA lead.
Review AI-agent output (drafted requirements, generated tests, built screens) for correctness and completeness, and feed corrections back into the prompts and specs.
Support UAT with customers and triage defects back to root cause: requirement gap, design gap or build defect.
Be the day-to-day contact for customers and Customer Service on requirements questions for your modules.
Present solutions and trade-offs to customers, executives and R&D leadership in plain language, and lead workshops with senior customer stakeholders.
Keep process and product documentation current so that Support, Implementation and the wider R&D teamwork from one source of truth.
