Job summary

Credwell in Sydney seeks a Senior/Associate Building Surveyor to lead complex projects from concept to completion, conducting detailed inspections and ensuring compliance with the BCA and Australian Standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Building Surveyor.
• Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of the BCA, Building Regulations, and Australian Standards.
• Proven ability to assess complex building proposals and deliver clear, actionable advice.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and project management capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a client-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply the BCA, Building Regulations, and Australian Standards across a variety of projects.
• Conduct site inspections, access audits, fire safety assessments, and compliance reviews for new and existing developments.
• Develop performance solutions, technical reports, and regulatory submissions that meet client and statutory requirements.
• Lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
• Build strong client relationships through clear communication, expert advice, and proactive service.
• Mentor junior surveyors and consultants, fostering technical growth and professional development.
• Support business development through proposal writing, fee estimates, and identifying new opportunities.
