Job summary

Haste Recruitment partners with a Pyrmont-based building consultancy to recruit a Senior Building Surveyor/Building Regulations Consultant. The role combines commercial certification with advisory work, serving developers, architects and regulators across high-value projects.

You will undertake building certification, provide NCC/BCA compliance advice, and help interpret legislation throughout design and construction.

Qualifications

• Experience in building surveying, ideally within commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of the NCC/BCA and NSW legislation.
• Registered Building Surveyor (preferred but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Undertake building certification services across commercial developments.
• Assess and determine Construction Certificates, Complying Development Certificates and Occupation Certificates.
• Provide BCA/NCC compliance advice during design and construction phases.
• Interpret and apply relevant legislation, codes and standards.
• Conduct site inspections and compliance assessments.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers and regulatory authorities.
• Contribute to technical advisory reports and performance solution assessments.
• Support project delivery from concept through to completion.
