Job summary

PKF Perth is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to manage a client portfolio and lead high-quality bookkeeping services. You will work with Partners, ensure accurate records, and supervise junior bookkeepers, guiding workflow during a fixed-term parental leave cover.

You will bring a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, strong Xero/MYOB experience, and a proactive, collaborative approach to a Perth team. Flexible arrangements are available within a supportive firm.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent.
• Xero and MYOB certification with extensive experience.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices.
• In-depth knowledge of BAS, GST, payroll and superannuation requirements.
• Experience managing a client portfolio and delivering accurate, timely bookkeeping services.
• The confidence to build trusted client relationships and act as a key point of contact.
• Experience reviewing work, supporting less experienced team members and managing deadlines.
• A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach with strong attention to detail and professional judgement.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions and expense claims, investigate and resolve complex discrepancies, and review reconciliations prepared by the team
• Maintain and review financial records, general ledgers, client files and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including overseeing invoicing, payments and receipts
• Prepare, review and lodge BAS and GST returns
• Manage payroll processing and related compliance obligations, including superannuation and reporting
• Complete and review month-end reconciliations, statements and reports
• Prepare financial and management reports for clients
• Lead budgeting and cash flow forecasting activities for clients
• Use Xero, MYOB and other systems to process transactions and maintain client records
