Job summary

My Bookkeeper Perth Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to independently manage a portfolio of clients, delivering end-to-end bookkeeping from daily processing to BAS/IAS, payroll, and month-end reporting. You will be the primary client contact in a small, supportive team, with opportunities to mentor juniors and improve processes.

The role is primarily office-based in Perth, with occasional flexibility to work from home by arrangement.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in bookkeeping/accounting practice managing multiple client files.
• Minimum 3 years' hands-on Xero experience in a professional environment.
• Minimum 3 years' hands-on payroll experience with Modern Awards, STP, superannuation and payroll compliance.
• Current Xero certification or willingness to complete it within the first month.
• Eligible to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a portfolio of clients across various industries, ensuring work is accurate and on time.
• Provide end-to-end bookkeeping services including bank reconciliations, payables/receivables, and month-end processing.
• Prepare BAS and IAS with GST reconciliations and working papers under BAS Agent arrangements.
• Process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll with STP and superannuation compliance.
• Onboard new clients in Xero and maintain up-to-date client records.
