The Smart Business Lounge in Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper who is proactive, switched-on, and ready to hit the ground running. You will manage a portfolio of clients, lead our local bookkeeping team, and support the advisory division with system optimisation and reporting.

This hands-on role requires strong Xero knowledge, experience with MYOB AccountRight, payroll processing, BAS lodgements, and an ability to improve processes while maintaining impeccable client service.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior bookkeeping role.
• Strong knowledge of Xero and experience with MYOB AccountRight and other cloud-based apps.
• Confident in payroll processing, reconciliations, GST compliance, and understanding of compliance requirements.
• Skilled in system setup and process improvement.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn—especially when it comes to tech and financial systems.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively across multiple clients and priorities.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running. You’ll work across a portfolio of clients, lead our local and offshore bookkeeping team, and provide critical support to our advisory division. This role combines technical bookkeeping with team leadership, client relationship management, and systems optimisation.
