Job summary

Aurec is seeking a hands-on BI and analytics specialist to own the workforce analytics environment. You will combine Power BI, SQL, and data modelling to turn complex HR data into actionable insights that influence decisions on headcount, retention, remuneration and recruitment.

This role is non-management, with technical leadership and collaboration with executives in a large Australian organisation operating in a flexible hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience delivering BI/analytics in complex data environments.
• Strong Power BI, DAX, semantic modelling, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on SQL Server development and data integration skills.
• Experience with workforce or HR analytics is a plus.
• Ability to translate technical results into business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise Power BI dashboards and semantic models.
• Develop and optimize SQL Server queries, views and stored procedures.
• Transform datasets with Power Query and M for reliable insights.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define requirements and present insights.
• Establish standards and contribute to governance and mentoring.
