Job summary

The TheirCare Pty team is seeking a senior Behaviour Support Practice Lead to provide specialist practice leadership across complex behaviour support matters in Melbourne, with regular travel to school locations. This role combines direct client work with clinical supervision and practice leadership for Behaviour Support Practitioners.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification and professional experience.
• Experience with children, young people, families or disability.
• Strong capability in complex case management, psychosocial assessment and risk planning.
• Knowledge of restrictive practice requirements and least-restrictive practice.
• Experience supervising and coaching practitioners in complex matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex participant cases with observation and engagement in everyday services.
• Undertake behavioural, psychosocial and risk assessments to understand participant needs.
• Lead complex case management and formulating care plans with families and teams.
• Develop and guide individualised positive behaviour support strategies.
• Monitor progress and review interventions through observation and coaching.
• Provide clinical consultation and escalation for safeguarding and restrictive practice.
• Provide supervision to practitioners, including caseload and documentation review.
• Observe staff and deliver real-time coaching and direction.
• Collaborate with families, carers and allied health professionals for tailored responses.
• Analyse incidents to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Fulfil APO responsibilities and ensure reporting per NDIS requirements.
