Job summary

Community Solutions in Melbourne, VIC, is seeking a senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to mentor a team of practitioners and ensure quality services for NDIS participants. The role reports to the Practice Lead and emphasizes evidence-based approaches, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder collaboration.

You will guide plan reviews, support professional development, and maintain high standards of service delivery while partnering with families, providers, and government bodies.

Qualifications

• Completed degree qualification (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Developmental Education, Counselling or similar – a must.
• Experience mentoring behaviour support practitioners and peer reviewing behaviour support plans.
• Understanding of good clinical practice and NDIS Commission regulatory requirements.
• Endorsement as Proficient or Advanced Practitioner.
• Strong administration and computer skills (MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Guiding and coaching practitioners and reviewing positive behaviour support plans with support from the Practice Lead.
• Encouraging a team-oriented approach to reflective practice and evaluation of service delivery.
• Monitoring team goals and annual performance reviews.
• Meeting output targets while maintaining best practice and stakeholder relationships.
• Developing partnerships with service providers, community agencies and government bodies to achieve participant outcomes.
• Providing information and advice on evidence-based approaches to reduce challenging behaviour.
